Early Age
Shammi Kapoor was second child of famous couple Prithviraj Kapoor and Ramsarni Kapoor and the other being Shashi Kapoor and Raj Kapoor and all of them are successful actors in Bollywood film industry.
He was Mumbai born child but most of his childhood time he lived in Kolkata and after some years he came back to Mumbai and completed his matric class from New Era School.
Later Shammi joined Prithvi Theatre which was a theatrical venture of his father and worked almost four years there as a junior artist till he got the major break in 1953 as a main lead in Jeevan Jyoti.
